Educate Together Trending is a dedicated space for sharing and showcasing the amazing work being done by Educate Together students like you!

Student councils

All members of a school community are encouraged to make contributions to decision-making in Educate Together schools. A key part of a democratic school community is its Student Council. What exactly is a Student Council? What does a Student Council do? How do you set up a Student Council? These questions and more are answered here.

Student events

StudentMeets

Educate Together’s StudentMeet is a key part of any Ethical Education event. Students are provided with a forum to speak about and share the creative initiatives they have introduced into their schools with their peers from other Educate Together schools. The whole concept is based on a TeachMeet, where teachers present in short, snappy segments on classroom approaches and resources, with the entire session interspersed with games and raffles.

Global Citizenship Education Student Showcase

The Global Citizenship Education Student Showcase is an annual initiative led by students from Educate Together’s second-level schools. The showcase provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate the work they are undertaking in the area of Strand 9 of the Ethical Education Curriculum, Global Citizenship Education.

Ethical Education Art Competition

2019 saw Educate Together’s first ever second-level art competition and exhibition. As well as creating an opportunity for our students to engage creatively with their Ethical Education curriculum, this competition was run to find nine student-created images which could be made into posters representing each strand of the curriculum and hung in every existing and future Educate Together second-level school! See the fab artwork here!
