Principal Kieran Griffin Retires at Bray School Project

Educate Together has announced the retirement of Kieran Griffin as the Principal of its school in Bray, Co Wicklow. Kieran has been Principal of the Bray School Project since its opening in 1981.

Commenting on Kieran’s retirement Educate Together’s CEO, Paul Rowe said ‘It is with regret that the entire Educate Together team says farewell to Kieran. It has been a pleasure to work with a school Principal of his experience, capability and vision’. Kieran himself stated, ‘Having being involved with the founding of the Dalkey School Project and then being Principal of the Bray School project for 29 years, it has been a great privilege for me to be a part of the Educate Together movement from its beginnings to the 58 school network it is today’.

Kieran is a graduate of UCD and holds a Masters of Education from Trinity College. He was previously director of Blackrock Education Centre and before that taught at Holy Family National School Monkstown from 1969 until 1976.

The new Principal of Bray School Project, Carol Lanigan, will be starting her role in September.
