Galway Ethos Conference in A Great Success

Our annual Ethos Conference took place in Galway on Saturday Nov 12th and was a great success.


Fintan McCutcheon from Balbriggan ETNS, presented a plenary session on Values in an Educate Together school with specific reference to Human Rights month; Jean Timmins, Skerries ETNS and Sinéad Watson, Rathfarnham ETNS presented on Planning for the Learn Together; Sara Falvey, Galway ETNS, presented on Yoga and Meditation;  Eimear Costelloe, Kilcolgan ETNS presented on an anti-racism newsletter her class produced as part of the Show Racism the Red Card initiative and Terri and Sinéad from Claregalway ETNS presented on ‘Love is…’ (an anti-homophobic project) as well as an EAL perspective on the Irish Presidential Election.

This conference was open to teachers, parents and Board members. In response to requests from schools outside of Dublin, the conference took place in Galway City.

Board of Management members and parents had workshops on ethical dilemmas related to the Learn Together.
