New Appointments at the National Office

We are delighted to share some important updates from recent months about the team here at the Educate Together national office. Alongside welcoming two brilliant new colleagues, we are also marking an exciting internal move as one of our team steps into a new role.

Our new Operations and Systems Manager

We are thrilled to announce that Silke Wille has joined us in 2026 as our Operations and Systems Manager.

Silke brings a wealth of experience to the team, with 15 years working in the business and technology sectors. In this new role, Silke will be responsible for the smooth running of the national office’s internal operations. This includes office management, administration and our IT systems – ensuring everything works seamlessly behind the scenes so that our network of schools can continue to thrive, and so that our work can achieve maximum impact.

Stepping Up: Acting Head of Education and Development

With our colleague Lydia McCarthy on family leave from May 2026, Susana Núñez has taken over as Acting Head of Education and Development

Susana originally joined Educate Together as Second-level Education Officer in 2021, where she has played a key role in supporting the teaching of Ethical Education across our second-level school network, and developing our successful student events. With an academic background in sociology, education, community and youth work, as well as previous experience in teaching and project development in the community and charity sector, Susana is perfectly placed to step into this leadership role. We wish Susana every success in her new position, and we look forward to seeing the continued impact of her work.

A New Face in Second-Level Education

We are equally delighted to announce that Clíodhna McManamon has joined us to cover Susana’s work as Second-Level Education Officer.

Clíodhna brings vast experience in the teaching of languages at second-level, as well as designing and facilitating workshops for teachers and school leaders. Her expertise spans curriculum reform, facilitation, creativity and innovation, and education for sustainable development—skills she developed while seconded to the Department of Education and Youth Support Services.

In addition, Clíodhna has worked with Maynooth University and Dublin City University supporting student-teachers. Passionate about collaborative practice and student participation, Clíodhna believes wholeheartedly in the transformative effects of Ethical Education in schools. We are very much looking forward to seeing her passion and expertise in action.

Please join us in welcoming Silke and Clíodhna, and congratulating Susana on her new role.
