Dublin City Hall to Light Up Purple for One Day Together

Dublin City Hall will be illuminated in purple this Friday 23 October in support of Educate Together’s One Day Together campaign.

The illumination will mark One Day Together 2026, Educate Together’s annual national celebration and fundraising day, when schools, communities and supporters come together to celebrate equality-based education and support Educate Together’s work.

This year’s campaign is centred on the message:

One Community. One Movement. One Day Together.

Throughout the day, Educate Together schools will be marking One Day Together through celebrations, school activities and fundraising events, reflecting the strength and diversity of the wider Educate Together community.

Funds raised through the campaign help Educate Together strengthen schools, advocate for important reforms to our education system and grow the movement by creating more opportunities for children and families to access equality-based education.

The purple illumination of City Hall will provide a visible celebration of the thousands of pupils, staff, families, volunteers and supporters who make up the Educate Together movement. Purple is one of Educate Together’s brand colours, and on One Day Together it will become a shared visual symbol of connection across the network.

One Day Together takes place on Friday 23 October 2026.
