We are pleased to share a landmark new resource for initial teacher education in Ireland. The Aitheantas Framework – launched jointly by Educate Together and Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) – provides a nationally recognised structure to support teacher preparedness in Ethical, Multi-Belief and Values Education (EMBVE).
Developed in partnership with all five primary initial teacher education providers, the Framework equips pre-service teachers with the key competencies needed to teach multi-denominational curricula, including the Learn Together and Goodness Me Goodness You programmes.
This marks an important step forward in ensuring that new graduates feel confident and well prepared for teaching in equality-based and multi-denominational school communities.
