Conferences & Events


Educate Together is  a democratic membership based organisation. Schools both afiliated to and directly under the patronage of Educate Together have opportunities to contribute to the development of the Educate Together network through a number of events organised by the National Office annually.

Putting ethos into action!

The aim of the conference is to inspire all delegates with new ideas, to help them bring the Educate Together ethos to life in the classroom and the whole school community.

The conference is aimed at teachers, parents and Board of Management members. The registration fee is €30 per head and €100 for any booking of 4.

Educate Together's annual Ethos Conference will be held in the National College of Ireland, IFSC, Dublin 1. 

Keynote Speaker

The opening address is by Dr Frieda McGovern. Frieda is a former principal of North Bay ETNS and co-author of the Learn Together. She will speak on: Identity and Belonging in Multi-Ethnic Settings.

Workshops / Presentations

The group will be divided in three for the rest of the day: Teachers; BoM members and Parents. There will be a presentation from Mary Brosnan, Kilcogan ETNS, on Student-led Conferences, a teacher focus group on the ethical curriculum at second-level, workshops and presentations on the Learn Together and Ethos related issues. 

And, of course, a chance to chat and network!
