The appointment of principals, teachers and SNAs are governed by statute and the procedures outlined in Appendix D and Appendix E the Constitution of Boards and Rules of Procedure 2011 must be followed each time you need to recruit a staff member to these roles.
All members of boards of management are entitled to access a training course and a whole host of resources on this topic which are available on our online training site.
You will need to register on the site first and then enrol on the Appointment Procedures course where you will be asked to enter an enrolment key. This key was emailed to all board members via the BOM newsletter in April 2012. A letter was also sent to each Educate Together school board of management and patron body. If you have lost this please contact the national office and we will be happy to tell you what it is. You only need the key the first time that you enter the course - the system will remember you once you log in after this.
