SECOND-LEVEL GENERAL MEMBERS' MEETING 26-1-08
Our main event in January was the General Members' Meeting which was held in the Mont Clare Hotel on 26th January. It was a stimulating day full of information and stimulating discussion - a fitting launch to this exciting campaign. Many thanks to everyone who came along and contributed on the day and a special thank you to all the national office staff, Directors, invited guests and other volunteers who helped to make it such a success.

It was especially encouraging that the Irish Times, the Irish Independent and the Irish Examiner all covered the event, and that it got a mention on the 2FM radio news on the day. HIghlighting the need for second-level Educate Together education in the media will be an important part of the project.

For feedback from the day, presentations and notes from the workshop sessions, as well as photos, please visit http://www.educatetogether.ie/2_campaigns/secondlevelet.html.

WORKING GROUPS TO BE CONSTITUTED THIS MONTH
We were delighted that over twenty people volunteered at the Members' meeting to join working groups to support the project at a national level.
If you couldn't attend but are interested in volunteering your time, please contact Emer indicating what your particular area of interest or expertise is (i.e. school management, curriculum, Ethical Education, lobbying, building and planning, etc.).

WEBSITE AND FORUM
We have started off both a second-level web-page and a second-level section in the Educate Together interactive forum. It would be great if we could really maximise the use of these to make sure people can contribute their ideas to the project and keep up-to-date with what is happening. Please take the time to visit both in the coming month and offer your suggestions as to how we can best utilise them.

LOCAL NEWS
In each newsletter we would like to include news from a particular second-level action group. If you would like to share your local experiences with others, please get in touch.

NEWSLETTER NAME
We want to come up with a better name for the newsletter by next month so it can be distinguished from the other ET communications. PLEASE SEND US YOUR IDEAS!
