We value and respect all individuals and organisations seeking to communicate or donate time, money or resources to our work. We endeavour to protect our users' information, through compliance with the Data Protection Act 1988 and the Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. When our supporters submit personal and sensitive information, this information is protected by a secure system both online and offline.
In addition, each communication includes an opt-out feature which enables you to remove your email address from our mailing list(s).

Donations
In order to make a donation to Educate Together, you will be asked for information when you register with us. We will require, amongst other things your name and email address. In addition, when you make a donation on the website, we will also require your credit card number.
How do we use this Information?
Broadly speaking, we use personal information for the purposes of providing online services to members such as sending news, updates, notifications, press releases and so forth. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our website and new services we think you will find valuable.
Sharing Information with partners and third parties
Partners
We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us. Agents or contractors of `Educate Together who have access to information you give us in the course of providing services to us are required to keep that information confidential and are not permitted to use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services which they are performing for us.

We endeavour to ensure the highest level of security as regards your credit card details, credit card numbers, account numbers, and online donations are protected by a secure server software called Realex. This secure software encrypts financial information provided online. It works to prevent anyone else reading your personal and sensitive information while your donation is being processed.
You should note however, that internet transmissions are never completely private or secure. You accept that any information or message you send to the site may be intercepted or read by others. You hereby acknowledge and accept that we have no responsibility and shall accept no liability whatsoever for loss, injury or damage occasioned by the interception by third parties of your transmissions, or the disclosure of information including but not limited to credit card numbers by any party with whom you transact, nor do we offer any guarantees, warranties or indemnities as to the security or otherwise of any information which you give us.
How can you access and correct your information?
You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing info@educatetogether.ie. In the vast majority of cases, this information will state that a particular email address is on a list of email recipients, or that an email address is on a database of email addresses which the online forum uses for authentication.
Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so; in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.
